-
Bulova was the first U.S. watchmaker to field-test a dive watch under a formal U.S. Navy contract. Several of the watches were worn by early EOD technicians. This project builds directly on that history.
Bulova’s long-standing relationship with the U.S. military, combined with its willingness to develop a configuration specific to the EOD community, made it the right partner.
-
No. The MIL-SHIPS Navy EOD was designed specifically for this project.
It features a unique case material, lug width, dial markings, movement, and case back details not found on any commercial release.
-
Each watch is accompanied by a memorial photo booklet, serving as both a manual and a historical tribute.
A metal memorial card is also included, honoring members of the community whose names are inscribed on the EOD Memorial Wall. Watches numbered 1 through 84 are individually dedicated to specific individuals. Watches numbered 85 and above collectively honor all those remembered on the Wall.
